Unresolved symbols in omniORB 2.4.0 for NT4

I built the official omniORB2.4.0 release in the following environment:
   NT4.0 ServicePack 3
   MSVC 5.0 Service Release 3
   GNU CygWin 2.0 b18

It compiles perfectly (make export) but generates several unresolved
external symbols in:
  omniLifeCycleSK.o
  omniLifeCycle.o
  reDirect.o

Why, and is that something to care about?
