Do you mean the reliability of the whole Linux system or of omniORB2?

How do I get the version no. of my glibc?
I found this in /lib:
-rwxr-xr-x   1 root     root      2478585 Dec 14  1998 libc.so.6
This is SuSE specific, I suppose.
