I don't know everything that is involved here, as I am a CORBA newbie.
However, this is the goal:

To port the ORB to an embedded target running a real-time executive.
The executive does support posix threads --  Draft level10, nanosleep
ok, but no thread priority.   But there is no support for shared
libraries. The target is to support the server side.

Can onmiORB2 be configured to use static rather than shared libraries?
