[omniORB] omniORB on AIX 4.2 using gcc

Folks,
  Having searched the archives to no avail I'm forced to actually ask a
question.
  I have an AIX 4.2 machine (PPC603e) which is crying out for omniORB.
  For cost reasons I'm using gcc.  The one problem I have is 'making' the
omniORB installation.  Seemingly gperf is required.  Needless to say gperf
seems to require itself to make itself, which frustrates yours truly no end.
  Is there a gperf-AIX4.2 executable or an omniORB-AIX4.2-gcc executable
lurking out there?
