[omniORB] gdb and Redhat 6.0

Hi,

Has anybody tried the patched versions of gdb maintained
by HJ Lu?  I recently tried his version gdb 4.17.0.13,
available at:

ftp://ftp.varesearch.com/pub/support/hjl/

and it didn't crash so much when I was trying to debug
some omniORB stuff under Redhat 6.0.

I've been scouting some of the gdb mailing lists, and
there seems to be some chaos...the official gdb maintainers
at Cygnus don't seem to be incorporating HJ Lu's patches to gdb,
so Linux support in gdb seems to be lagging.
