[omniORB] OmniOrb on Unixware 7 ?

Does anybody know if there were compilation attempts of omniORB on SCO
Unixware 7? Some SCO developers already provided a valid configuration
for SCO Openserver V5 with the GNU compiler and some precompiled thread
package from skunkware.

Can you give a recommendation which GNU compiler/binutils version to use
for compiling the newest omniORB version on a not yet supported
platform., like Unixware 7? Note: the native compiler system on Unixware
7 is not very sophisticated (I failed to compile the TAO distribution
with it, too).
