By the way, may I ask for the reason for the current design of
the thread package ? I'd much prefer threads to be used associated
to the class supposed to run in it rather than have the class derive
from it. I think this is more in the line of what's going on.
Threads and objects are orthogonal concepts.

Anyway, I see from your interface that you provide methods for
both possible ways to use it.
