Hello,
I already am painfully aware of interoperability of
the naming service. I am running 28 April checkout of
OmniORB 3. Here is my question:
If I execute this command:
nameclt -ORBInitRef NameService=`cat name.ior` list
where name.ior is a file that contains:
IOR:000000000000002849444c3a6f6d672e6f72672f436f734e616d696e672f4e616d696e67436f6e746578743a312e300000000001000000000000005d00010000000000056d61727900002711000000493a5c6d6172793a4e533a4e435f335f467269204d61722031302031342332332330372045535420323030303a3a4946523a436f734e616d696e675f4e616d696e67436f6e7465787400
And catior reports:
Type ID: "IDL:omg.org/CosNaming/NamingContext:1.0"
Profiles:
1. IIOP 1.0 mary 10001 ":\mary:NS:NC_3_Fri Mar 10
14#23#07 EST 2000::IFR:CosNaming_NamingContext."
Going against Orbix 3.0.1, should this work? Past
experience leads me to believe that this will not
work. However, with the new changes?
