[omniORB] timeout when invoking operation

The client invokes the method of the server. The server's method performs an
operation which takes long time to complete. So OMNIORB retries to invoke
the method before the first invocation is over. So I have the same method
invoked for the second time when I called it only for one time. How can I
increase the timeout value (but only for this method) or is it possible to
signal in the invoked method that the operation is still running?
Any suggestion is welcome!
