Hi,
we are searching for an ORB with a small memory (and binary) footprint. We
don't need all the Corba features. Marshaling, IIOP and threading are
enough. No dynamic invocations, POA, naming or other features are needed.
Up to now we are using OmniOrb but the DLLs are larger than our
application. For embedded application the overhead is significant.
Was there any work to build an OmniOrb light version? Does it make sense to
strip down the existing ORB to build a small version?
Sascha
