[omniORB] Core dump when exiting programs with OmniORB on HPUX

I am finding that my programs running OmniORB are core dumping on exit.
It also happens with the example programs too.

Our quick fix is to put in _exit but I think this approach is brushing the
real 
problem under the carpet.

I noticed back at the start of this year Duncan Grisby was helping Huw
Rogers
with a similar problem on Solaris and Red Hat platforms. Was it ever
resolved?

>From the stack trace I noticed that after exit _shlInit is called and
~omni_mutex
before terminating and eventually core dumping !!!
