[omniORB] cout hang on RH7.0

Hi,
    I trying to get the notification service and examples running on a redhat 7.0 system with omniORB built w/gcc2.96-69 and glibc 2.2.12.  When I run
any_push_supplier and any_pull_consumer with args of -d 1000 and -m 1000, everything works fine.  However, when running with -v added the clients hang on a call to
cout after starting their worker threads.  I verified this with gdb.  Also I updated my glibc and gcc, as I saw in a previous email about this, but this didn't
help.  Any advice?
