[omniORB] RunTime problems

   Hello. My problem might be not new to the readers of this list.
   I have two systems with the same Linux distribution installed (that is 
RedHat 7.2 on two different boxes, and Mandrake 8.1 on two other different 
boxes). On one of the RH7.2 omniNames starts with no problem (after the 
package was recompiled), on the other one it doesn't, with the error
'Cannot initialize POA. Is omniNames already started?'
(`ps -aux | grep [o]mniNames` shows no records). The same is for the same 
Mandrake 8.1 boxes.
   Is there any way omniNames (or other services) interfere with the services 
on the current machine? How can that be fixed?
