[omniORB] Naming Service problem

Hi,

I am trying to run the naming service example from omniORB doc: eg3_impl.=
cc
& eg3_clt.cc The naming service starts properly but the server cannot det=
ect
the naming service. When I run eg3_impl I get the following error message=
:
Configuration error: Invalid object reference supplied for NAMESERVICE.
Abort

I have followed the below procedure:

I have started the naming service by the following command:
omniNames -start 12345

This starts the naming service properly and shows the following informati=
on
on the console.
Wed Jan 16 15:42:12 2002:

Starting omniNames for the first time.
Wrote initial log file.
Read log file successfully.
Root context is

I have copied the root context IOR which I got after starting the naming
service in the omniORB.cfg file as:

The portno. in the /etc/omniorb.cfg file is also:

I have followed all the instructions of the manual, but still the problem=
 is
there.

I am very confused as the same IOR is working very fine with the nameclt
utility.

Could anyone please advise me, where I am wrong or which portion I am
missing.
