Hi,
Currently looking at omniOrb as a possible replacement for an existing
commercial C++ ORB (DAIS 3.2.9 ) for use on HPUX 11i (aCC 3.36).
Just got a couple of questions regarding wether the omni orb api allows an
external scheduler to be used to process orb events, instead of the one used
by omni.
The applications we have dont use the scheduler provided by the ORB vendor.
Instead we have our own Reactor based event handler, thats responsible for
managing events from multiple sources including signals, sockets, files and
ORB events. The orb we are currently using provided us with an api that
allowed us to register a callback when the orb was being initialised, as
well as the ability to manipulate the orbs file descriptors and timers.
Does anyone know wether omniOrb can provide us with similiar functionality?
Thanks
Rob
