[omniORB] omniORB 4.0.1 / AIX 5.1 / VisualAge C++ 6

Does anyone have omniORB working in this environment?

omniORB 4.0.1
AIX 5.1
VisualAge C++ 6 (a.k.a. xlC)

We've been able to build the libraries and binaries fine, but our clients
are getting COMM_FAILURE exceptions when communicating with omniNames.  The
same clients work fine when connecting to omniNames (4.0.1) on a Linux
machine.

Also, why do I see COMM_FAILURE lines like this on both AIX and Linux
versions of omniNames as the session ends.  These show up even if the client
doesn't show an exception.  See trace for details.
