Hello,
I've just built omniORB 4.0.3 from source on RedHat 7.2 / AS 2.1.
When installing, the /etc/init.d/omninames script attempts to invoke
omniNames-daemon, which doesn't get built by the rpmbuild process. It
does not appear in the spec file (it was there in omniORB 4.0.2), nor
does a grep of the prep'd sources find any reference to this (except two
comments - added and deleted).
Changing this to simply invoke omniNames does not work properly -
omniNames will run, but never goes into the background. Adding a & to
the end of the line allows it to run as a background process; but it
does not display the normal [OK].
Any ideas what's broken here? The build? The script? Something I did?
Thanks,
Dietmar May
