omniNames-daemon and the etc/init.d/omninames script have been removed
from omniORB 4.0.3, replaced by etc/init.d/omniNames (with a capital
N), which doesn't need a separate daemon script. You shouldn't be
getting the old script. Is it left over from a 4.0.2 install that you
have?
Cheers,
Duncan.
