[omniORB] weak data transfer rate on not powerful embedded sy stem

May be you should use a profiler to find out where the time is spent by 
your applications.
I can tell you that with my omniORB4 based C++ applications I have 
50mbps short
messages exchange rate over 100mb Ethernet. Slow processor might be also 
a bottlenek.
