[omniORB] Assertion in Application

omniORB 4.0.5 on WinXP; MSVC6

We're getting this assertion in one of our apps while accessing some
CORBA object:

omniORB: Assertion failed.  This indicates a bug in the application using
omniORB, or maybe in omniORB itself.

Any hint what could be the reason for that ?
