[omniORB] omniNames error

That sounds strange. Actually giop:tcp::2809 is a valid address
according to
http://omniorb.sourceforge.net/omni40/omniORB/omniORB008.html#toc41.

Try running with tracelevel 20 or so - that will tell you more about
what's happening.
