[omniORB] omniORB - Java 5 Sun ORB comapability

I need to quickly establish what the current compatibility between omniORB
(ver 4.0. ) and the CORBA Orb that ships with J2SE 5

 

Unfortunately this type of information does not seem to be listed anywhere I
can find so I wondered if somebody would be able to point me in the right
direction, (I preferably need to be able to refer to some form of
documentation if possible for a customer!).

 

We need to know which version of omniORB would be needed to run clients that
would connect to a Java server. (I notice there may be differences between
CORBA specs omniORB 2.6 and java 2.3.1)

 

Assuming this is possible, I would expect omniORB would only be needed on
the client side, is this correct?
