omniORB on Linux

Hello,

I have installed and tried omniORB on Linux. I applied the patches
needed and it compiled. However I have run into some problems:

1) After I compiled it I could not get the eg3 example in the echo
directory to work. the eg3_impl method core dumps as soon as it starts.
I do have the name server up.

2) I tried building shared libraries. The libraries built but all teh
examples core dump. It appears as if there are some initializers that
are not getting called. Anybody tried this ?
