[omniORB] Echo invokes dialer

I'm running this on a laptop with a PCMCIA network card, connected to my
home network. It has an IP address assigned, and, as far as I can remember,
it was offline when I first set up the naming service. I'll try that anyway,
and let you know how it works out. I have noticed that OmniNames fails if
the network card isn't installed.
