The first ObjectWeb consortium conference will be held in Paris on Octobe=

ObjectWeb is an open source software community created at the end of 1999=

France Telecom R&D, Bull/Evidian and INRIA. It is now organised as an
international open consortium hosted by INRIA. Its target is to provide a=

The conference will cover: =
- the objectives of the ObjectWeb consortium, its organisation, current s=
tatus

- the presentation and status of current and new ObjectWeb projects (JOnA=
S,
Jonathan, JORAM, RmiJdbc, JORM, OpenCCM) ; =
- the ObjectWeb technical perspectives (support of EJB 2.0, JDO, Web Serv=
ices,
Advanced Transactions, etc.) ; =
- the use of ObjectWeb middleware for teaching distributed systems ; =
- a round table about the status and challenges of industrial and commerc=
ial
uses of open source middleware. =
An exhibition will take place in parallel with demonstrations of ObjectWe=
b
middleware, including industrial uses.
This conference is free, but the number of places is limited. It is stron=
gly
